My name is Charlie Barrett, and my travel journey started in Germany in 1999, where curiosity and a love of adventure took hold.

Since then, the road has taken me to Australia, Asia, South and Central America, USA, Europe and Africa.

Adventure travel and interesting stories have appealed to me more and more over the years, and I have been lucky enough to see places from the renaissance city of Florence to the bubbling lava of Nyiragongo volcano in Democratic Republic of Congo.

Each place I have visited tells a story and I like to share these. After over 20 years, I have tales of great people, magical places, sad stories and the odd mishap. Hope you enjoy reading about it as much as I enjoy writing about it!
